Measures to prevent failure of rubber seals
Careful selection of seals requires clear common sense. When selecting seals, attention should be paid to the oil resistance, wear resistance, heat resistance, cold resistance and chemical resistance of the seals according to the use environment. At the same time, its elasticity and tensile strength should be assessed. Mechanical properties such as tensile strength; for example, the compressive strength of ordinary oil seals is generally 0.30.5 MPa, and the compressive strength of the pressure-resistant type can reach 1.0 MPa;
Install in strict accordance with the requirements to avoid damage to the seal, in order to prevent damage to the lip of the seal:
1. Set a chamfer or guide cone at the entrance of the passage through which the seal passes, and coat it with high-melting grease, so that it can be easily and smoothly installed;
2. Pay attention to removing the residual burrs on the edges of the inlet and exhaust or oil inlet and outlet to prevent the burrs from scratching the surface of the seal;
3. When the seal needs to pass through the thread, it is better to use the mold or wrap the tape at the thread or prevent damage, and apply grease;
Pay attention to the directionality of the seal and install it correctly:
Except for the 0-ring, the general seals are directional. Once installed in the wrong direction, the sealing effect will not be achieved. At the same time, pay attention to the installation of auxiliary components;
