Three situations of water leakage of rubber sealing ring
In the process of pressure test or water passage, the rubber ring interface occasionally leaks water.
The reasons for analysis mainly include the following situations:
1. The top of the rubber ring is turned over: This is the most common situation. When the pipe is installed, due to the uneven bottom of the
groove, the insertion angle of the pipe is not straight, the chamfer of the pipe groove is not suitable, or the rubber ring is placed in an
improper position, etc. The ring is pushed forward. After installation, it is not necessary to check with a feeler gauge.
As a result, the ring is pushed out of the expansion groove.
2. The quality of the apron is unqualified: the apron has pores, cracks and seams. The vulcanization time of the apron is too long
or too short, resulting in unsatisfactory elasticity of the apron.
3. The expansion groove is too deep, and the equipment fails during the expansion process. The rubber ring installed in the expansion
groove not only does not protrude from the groove surface, but is concave on the groove surface, which cannot achieve the sealing effect.
